Clouded Leopard Entertainment and Nihon Falcom released a new trailer for the upcoming Chinese and Korean release of Ys X: Nordics. The trailer introduces Cross Action and Mana Action mechanics in Ys X: Nordics, allowing players to see how Adol and Karja perform in battle.
Ys X: Nordics takes place after the events of Ys II and before Ys: Memories of Celceta. 17-year old Adol and his trusty companion Dogi head into Karnak and Odelia Bay for a new adventure on their way to Celceta. Adol then meets Karja, the only daughter of the leader of the Balta Navy. Karja is the heroine of Ys X: Nordics and the only other playable character.
Ys X: Nordics Trailer Focuses on Cross Action and Mana Action
The latest trailer introduces the following Cross Action and Mana Action mechanics for Adol and Karja:
- Cross Action
- Solo Mode – Control either Adol or Karja during battle. Automatically evade while using dash moves to keep your enemies guessing!
- Dual Mode – Control both Adol and Karja at the same time! Use Just Guard and Revenge to gain the upper hand in battle.
- Mana Action
- Highlight Attack – Occurs when you automatically evade or use Just Guard against a specific enemy. Attacks with a flashy effect.
- String – Swing on Mana Strings to reach faraway places! You can also move objects and flip switches in dungeons.
- Ride – Glide across the ground on your Grimble Board. Cross perilous terrain at exhilarating speeds!
- Burst – Charge and release bursts of Mana energy. Switch between Flame and Ice attacks depending on the target!

Lastly, Ys X: Nordics launches on September 28 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 with Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options. A worldwide release has not been announced yet.
