Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The game will release on November 10, 2023. Little information about the upcoming release is known, but it is expected to be available on most modern consoles.
Modern Warfare III is the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise. It is part of the rebooted trilogy of the seventh-generation Call of Duty: Modern Warfare games. Activision released Modern Warfare II on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. More will be revealed about the upcoming game over the next few months.
Where the Story Left Off
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III picks up the story right where Modern Warfare II left off. General Shephard is missing, and his private military group, Shadow Company, still protects him. Further, the first trailer for Modern Warfare III hints that Makarov will be the main villain for the upcoming game.
Makarov was the primary antagonist in the original Modern Warfare franchise. The Russian terrorist was responsible for setting off a nuke in a war zone and causing the infamous “No Russian” mission. It is unknown if Modern Warfare III will adopt the mission mentioned above.
