NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive announced today that the Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order beta will begin on August 18. It will run until August 21. Anyone who pre-orders the game will have access to this beta. Check out the announcement below:

The following fighters, stages, and kameos will be available to choose from in the Mortal Kombat 1 pre-order beta:
Fighters: Liu Kang, Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Johnny Cage, and Li Mei
Kameos: Kano, Sonya, Jax, and Frost
Stages: The Teahouse & Johnny Cage’s Mansion
Players can expect this beta to be packed with other users ready to test out the next Mortal Kombat title. This will not be open to anyone who has not pre-ordered the game, so it is not an open beta you can download from the PS Store or Xbox storefront.
The pre-order beta will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users only. There will not be a pre-order beta for any other platform, including PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch.
All Confirmed Fighters So Far in Mortal Kombat 1
So far, fifteen different characters have been confirmed for base game MK1. This includes the return of fan favorites like Smoke and Rain. You can see a full list of confirmed characters listed below:

The first Kombat Pack has also been revealed, featuring some very bold faces. Homelander from The Boys and Omni-Man from Invincible will be joining the game sometime within the next year or so. The full Kombat Pack 1 is listed below:

Mortal Kombat 1 Launches on September 19
MK1 will release worldwide on September 19, 2023. The game is available across all major platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
