Capcom has announced that the Exoprimal co-op game mode Savage Gauntlet will be released today. This is the first mode added to Exoprimal since it was released on July 14 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
The game has already surpassed over one million players, and that number will continue to grow with new content and thanks to Xbox Game Pass. Savage Gauntlet looks to offer a fun and exciting experience for those looking to play with their friends.
Savage Gauntlet Mode Releases Today in Exoprimal
The Savage Gauntlet mode is described as the following by Capcom:
Savage Gauntlet takes the wargames to the next level with special missions for courageous players. These combat tests feature late-game content that unlocks upon completing the story in Dino Survival mode. In Savage Gauntlet, five Exofighters join forces to take on intense player versus environment (PvE) challenges that change every week. This dynamic mode will feature a rotation of rules and scenarios that provide a high level of difficulty tuned for experienced players and powered-up Exosuits.
Beyond surviving against massive hordes of dinosaurs, Savage Gauntlet’s weekly missions invite the Exoprimal community to compete for the fastest completion time on global leaderboards for each platform. These time-attack missions are replayable, allowing players to discover new strategies and obtain higher rankings. Exofighters are encouraged to re-envision their success and explore various team compositions and Module combos. Squads who achieve high rankings will also earn awards for their performance.
Savage Gauntlet will be available each week starting on Thursday at 8 PM PDT. You’ll be able to compete and play the mode until Monday at 7:59 PM PDT. Each week, this mode will present brand new challenges and enemies to tackle.
In our review, we stated that Exoprimal “is a promising third-person action game with extremely fun elements, but its early game portion is lackluster and stretches for quite some time”. The game has a great variety of content, but it takes around ten hours to crack into that.
