Valis: The Fantasm Soldier series developer Edia announced Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection III for Nintendo Switch. The announcement comes nearly a year after the release of the previous Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection.
Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection III includes various side-scrolling action games from the classic Valis franchise. These games are based on Famicom, MSX2, Mega Drive, PC-8801, mkIISR, and Super Famicom releases. Features from the previous two Valis collections will return such as Sound Mode, Visual Mode, and the Rewind function. Fans in Japan may back a new crowdfunding campaign to earn additional goods with their copy.
Edia will fund development and distribution of Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection III via a new Makuake crowdfunding campaign. Before August 30, the studio seeks five million yen in funding, which is roughly $35,350. Users may pledge funds toward the project with several tiers. These tiers include bonus rewards alongside a digital copy of the Nintendo Switch title, including the original soundtrack CD, t-shirts, digital artbooks, and much more. Physical goods are expected to ship out in November 2023 for backers, and the digital Nintendo Switch code is expected to be sent out in December.
