Bandai Namco Entertainment have revealed theater and TV release dates for the upcoming The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors anime series. Unlike other anime series, The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors will premiere first in theaters through multiple releases.
The upcoming The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors anime series is based on the free-to-play web browser and mobile game of the same name. Mankyū serves as director of the new anime, and Polygon Pictures is producing the 12-episode series. Yoichi Kato is supervising and writing the series script for all 12 episodes.
On Sunday, July 23, Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors will be released in theaters and air on TV networks. Moreover, A new trailer was revealed featuring the opening theme song “Tsubasa Gravity.” This particular trailer confirms the anime will premiere in spring 2024 on TV networks, and fans may view the series across three films. Each film will most likely adapt four episodes at a time.
The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors Release Dates
The first Shiny Colors film will be in Japanese theaters from October 27 to November 16, and the second film runs from November 24 to December 14. On January 5, the final Shiny Colors film will adapt the last four episodes of the series through January 25. Those living in Japan or visiting may watch these films in 75 theaters across 47 prefectures.
The Idolmaster: Shiny Colors will premiere sometime in spring 2024 on Japanese broadcasting networks. Bandai Namco plans on revealing an exact premiere date in the future. Once more, the anime will feature 12 episodes, which will most likely air weekly. A distributor for the new anime has not been announced, but Crunchyroll may possibly simulcast the series as it airs in Japan.
