SNK released a new character trailer for The King of Fighters XV DLC character Najd, which is still scheduled for a summer 2023 release. The trailer comes just a few weeks after the game’s previous update, version 1.92, introduced free DLC character Goenitz and cross-play. Additionally, the company revealed its plans for EVO 2023.
Najd (voiced by Ayaka Fukuhara) is the four paid DLC character for The King of Fighters XV Season 2. Her great offense from neutral and aerial attacks makes her a formidable threat, and Najd is able to drain health away from her opponent. The latest trailer for The King of Fighters XV highlights Najd and her moveset while sharing a glimpse of what her lore entails.
After Najd releases later this summer, two more DLC characters for The King of Fighters XV are planned to release in autumn and winter 2023 respectively. Further, a brand-new Fatal Fury / GAROU title is “furiously” in development featuring playable fighters Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi.

SNK Plans for EVO 2023
Shortly after the new trailer premiered, SNK revealed its plans for EVO 2023, which takes place from August 4 to 6 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Alongside the main tournament for The King of Fighters XV, SNK will host a booth featuring a demo corner dedicated to Najd. Players may try out the new DLC character before launch at the demo corner, which means Najd is expected to release sometime after EVO 2023 concludes.
SNK’s EVO 2023 booth includes more than just the Najd demo corner, however. From August 4 to 5, fans visiting the booth may also earn a free poster for the upcoming Fatal Fury / GAROU title and attend an autograph signing session featuring illustrator Eisuke Ogura from 2 to 3 p.m. PDT. Only the first 1,000 visitors will receive the new poster, and the first 100 visitors to the autograph session will receive a signed poster for The King of Fighters XIII Global Match.
In addition, SNK will host side tournaments for Samurai Shodown and GAROU: Mark of the Wolves at EVO 2023. The Samurai Shodown side tournament will begin on August 4 at 11 a.m. PDT, and the GAROU: Mark of the Wolves side tournament will begin on August 5 at 11 a.m. PDT. A maximum of 128 entrants may sign up for each title to participate in double elimination style tournaments. 1st place wins $3,000, 2nd place wins $1,500, and 3rd place wins $500. Registration for both tournaments are now live at start.gg.
Lastly, The King of Fighters XV is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Windows, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
