Kojima Productions has officially announced a Death Stranding x Fall Guys collaboration will release on July 18. The collab will feature a new costume depicting Sam Porter Bridges in the world of Fall Guys.
The upcoming collab is not the first property Fall Guys has merged with. A few months ago, they released a bundle that featured Street Fighter-themed cosmetics. Fans should expect to see more gaming collaborations with Fall Guys in the future.
Death Stranding x Fall Guys Collaboration
Fall Guys and Hideo Kojima officially announced the collaboration in a tweet. The Sam Porter Bridges will be available in the season’s Fame Pass starting July 18. The Fame Passes in Fall Guys are described as follows:
“We’re replacing the Season Pass with something new called Fame Passes. Instead of one pass covering the whole span of a Fall Guys’ season, we now have multiple shorter Fame Passes that cost less but reward you with more value for your playtime!”
Alongside the Death Stranding costume, the new Fame Pass will feature “the charming capybara” and a “carton of our finest Cow Juice.” The official announcement also hints at more costumes that will be added as part of the Fame Pass, so be sure to watch for everything the new bundle offers.
Developer Mediatonic originally released Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout in 2020. The game had a different spin on the battle royale genre. Rather than the player having to kill others to survive, it focused on competing to get through an elaborate obstacle course.
Kojima Productions released Death Stranding a year prior in 2021. Death Stranding stars protagonist Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) as he attempts to reconnect the United States. The player does this by making deliveries and traversing the country. In 2022, Kojima Productions officially confirmed that a sequel is in development, titled DS2. Currently, a release date is unknown.
The Death Stranding x Fall Guys collaboration will release on July 18. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
