    NieR: Automata Ver1.1a Trailer Teases Episodes 9 – 12

    Next week, the anime returns.

Aniplex and A-1 Pictures have released a brand new trailer for NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, focusing on Episodes 9 through Episode 12. Next Sunday will mark the return of the anime after a long hiatus due to production issues.

Multiple episodes were delayed throughout the initial airing of the series, with weekly delays and then a month-long delay at one point. The production then stopped releasing episodes completely in mid-March. It was cited due to COVID-19 concerns, but it’s more likely to have been production troubles at A-1 Pictures.

As a result, Episodes 9 through 12 of NieR: Automata Ver1.1a will air simultaneously in one block on July 23. You can check out the brand-new trailer for these episodes below:

All episodes of NieR: Automata Ver1.1a are available to watch on Crunchyroll. The series initially began airing on January 8, 2023. No other platforms carry the anime, so you’ll need a Crunchyroll account if you are wanting to watch it. The original Japanese voice cast and English voice cast reprise their roles in the series. Both the subtitled version and the anime and the dubbed version are streaming now.
