Genvid Entertainment, Bad Robot Games, and Behaviour Interactive shared a behind-the-scenes “Inside Look” video for Silent Hill: Ascension, an officially licensed interactive streaming horror series. Silent Hill fans may learn more about the upcoming title while gaining a glimpse into in-engine footage and official concept art.

All Silent Hill: Ascension viewers will interact with the title simultaneously to influence a continuously unfolding story according to Genvid Entertainment chief content officer Stephan Bugaj. The new streaming title includes fundamental features that were first introduced by the popular Telltale series of games. Shiaw-Ling Lai, Genvid Entertainment director of production, believes this new title will be an evolution of interactive streaming titles since it will bring fans together to debate and speculate about what’s next. The Inside Look video also shares brief glimpses into motion capturing and original concept art, teasing fans about what the new title will bring with scenes and unique environments.

cEvin key, co-founder of industrial band Skinny Puppy, is scoring the original soundtrack for the upcoming title. The score is part of cEvin’s new project, NEKOFACE. According to cEvin, the work of composer Akira Yamaoka in previous Silent Hill titles served as a great inspiration. Silent Hill: Ascension’s composer believes the mood-setting score by Yamaoka was crucial toward setting up the standards of beauty and horror that Silent Hill conveys to this day.

Silent Hill: Ascension – An Inside Look

Lastly, here’s an overview of the upcoming horror title, via Genvid Entertainment:

Silent Hill: Ascension ‎follows multiple main characters from locations around the world tormented by new and terrifying Silent Hill monsters. Lurking in the shadows, these monsters threaten to consume people, their children, and entire towns as they’re drawn into the darkness by both recent murders and long suppressed guilt and fears.

In Silent Hill: Ascension ‎the actions of millions will determine the outcome. By the time the last scene streams, which characters have survived? Will those who are left be redeemed, damned, or suffer? Even the project’s creators do not know how Silent Hill: Ascension ‎will end. Instead, the character’s fates are in the audience’s hands.
