After a few months of waiting, Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 is almost upon us. Season 5, Episode 1, is set to release officially on July 12, 2023.

Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Episode 1 Release Date
Episode 1 of Season 5 of Bungo Stray Dogs will release on Wednesday, July 12. It will air at 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. ET. Internationally, Bungo Stray Dogs will be available on Crunchyroll. Here are the times in which the upcoming episode will premiere:
- Eastern Daylight Time (EDT): 11:00 – 11:30 a.m.
- Central Daylight Time (CDT): 10:00 – 10:30 a.m.

Episode 1 Preview
The official synopsis from Crunchyroll reads: “The Armed Detective Agency defends itself as the leader of Tenjin Goshui closes in!” Before you watch the new season, here’s a little bit of the history of Bungo Stray Dogs. Kadokawa Shoten published Bungo Stray Dogs in 2012. Kafka Asagiri wrote it, and Sango Harukawa illustrated it. Additionally, Studio BONES adapted it into an anime in 2016. Fans can expect the new season to have the same level of quality as everything that has come before. The official description of the anime is as follows:
“Kicked out of his orphanage and on the verge of starving to death, Nakajima Atsushi meets some strange men. One of them, Dazai Osamu, is a suicidal man attempting to drown himself in broad daylight. The other, bespectacled Kunikida Doppo, nervously stands by, flipping through a notepad. Both are members of the “Armed Detective Agency” said to solve incidents that even the military and police won’t touch. Atsushi ends up accompanying them on a mission to eliminate a man-eating tiger that’s been terrorizing the population…”
