During the “Dive Into the World of Granblue Fantasy!” panel, Cygames confirmed Ferry will be a playable character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. More information about the upcoming action RPG was revealed at Anime Expo 2023, and an additional update will be shared in August 2023.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink follows the flow of the main story of Granblue Fantasy, but it’s being made to consider players who are new to the series. As a result, newcomers may understand the story told in Granblue Fantasy: Relink as a standalone story. Players will explore linear and expansive maps with a variety of playable characters, and characters cannot be switched in combat. Moreover, Cygames developed the story to be a “full-game experience” without a cliffhanger or need for additional story updates. Post-launch content updates are being planned, however. Cygames will share more news about these updates in the future.
Ferry is a Playable Character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink
After discussing the game’s story in a Q&A session, Cygames confirmed Ferry will be a playable character in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Ferry is a great support character that specializes in healing and crowd control. She can also summon multiple pets to her side in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Ferry will be voiced by Japanese voice actress Madoka Yonezawa and English voice actress Cristina Vee Valenzuela.

Release Date and Future Info
Granblue Fantasy: Relink releases “this winter,” and an exact release date has not been announced. This means that Granblue Fantasy: Relink could release in December 2023 – February 2024, and the window will likely be narrowed down in the near future. Cygames shared more promising news, however. The company confirms that development of the game is nearing its completion, and more information will be revealed in August 2023 (Thanks, Gematsu).
Finally, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Anime Expo 2023 attendees may try out a new demo at Cygames’ official booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center until July 4.
