Nintendo announced the Pikmin 4 demo is now available in the Nintendo eShop, and a new overview trailer was published to showcase the upcoming Nintendo Switch title. The demo is available now digitally and will be hosted at participating retailers later this summer.
Pikmin 4 players may enjoy solo play and split-screen multiplayer, and the new demo provides a sample of the game’s early hours. Save data from the demo transfers over into the full game, and players who complete the demo earn a Pikmin 4 Oatchi-Rider costume the Pikmin Bloom mobile game. A Nintendo Account must be registered with play activity in the Pikmin 4 demo and Pikmin Bloom to receive the bonus, however. The reward code for the bonus will be available within My Nintendo.
Pikmin 4 In-Store Demo and Pre-Orders
Pre-orders for Pikmin 4 are available physically and digitally, and all digital pre-orders in the Nintendo eShop offer 10% back in Gold Points. These Gold Points may be used in a subsequent purchase in the Nintendo eShop. Moreover, Pikmin 4 in-store demos will be available from July 7 to October 10 at participating retailers. Nintendo Account holders who complete the in-store demo will earn 200 My Nintendo Platinum Points.
“Learn all about the world of the Pikmin 4 game! Team up with tiny plantlike creatures called Pikmin and the adorable Rescue Pup Oatchi as you explore every corner of this mysterious planet,” the official Pikmin 4 overview trailer description reads. “Rescue stranded castaways in strategic Dandori Battles, collect Treasures on the planet’s surface and underground, set off for daring Night Expeditions, and so much more! Pikmin 4 launches July 21, 2023 only on the Nintendo Switch system. Pre-orders and a free demo are available now on Nintendo eShop.”

For those who don’t want to wait until Pikmin 4’s launch, Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 are available to purchase now in the Nintendo eShop. This means all four mainline Pikmin games will be available on Nintendo Switch once Pikmin 4 is available. Finally, a physical release of Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 is scheduled for September 22.
