D3 Publisher have launched the official Earth Defense Force 20th anniversary website today, June 26. Alongside the launch of the new website, D3 Publisher shared a new trailer celebrating the franchise’s 20th anniversary.
The Earth Defense Force 20th anniversary trailer highlights the history of the franchise, which started with Monster Attack in the west and Simple 2000 Series Vol. 31: The Chikyuu Boueigun on June 26, 2003 in Japan. Gameplay from all of the games in the series is depicted in the trailer. Earth Defense Force 6 is the latest game in the long-running series, and an announcement of a worldwide release for the title was not announced.
An official website for Earth Defense Force is live, celebrating 20 years of the franchise. However, the website is currently returning a 404 error since D3 Publisher is likely updating the website’s contents. According to the official Earth Defense Force Twitter account, “special news” and information regarding new merchandise will be revealed soon. D3 Publisher encourages fans to stay tuned for more news.
