During RGG Summit Summer 2023, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed the Japanese voice cast for several characters in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. The developers also recapped information about gameplay and the story from prior reveals.
In Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Kazuma Kiryu uses two fighting styles: Yakuza style and Agent Style. Yakuza style is very similiar to Kiryu’s traditional Dragon fighting style from Yakuza 1/Kiwami through Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. While using Agent style, Kiryu may use several gadgets while fighting in order to deal damage against crowds of enemies. These gadgets include high-tech drones.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name takes place in 2019, three years after Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Players will explore Sotenbori and Yokohama while experiencing a story that bridges the gaps from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life to Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

RGG Summit Fall 2023 Announced
After the Like a Dragon Gaiden segment, RGG Studio shared a brief cutscene clip of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth featuring Kazuma Kiryu and Kasuga Ichiban. Moreover, director Masayoshi Yokoyama confirms more information will arrive in RGG Summit Fall 2023 later this year. The developers plan on sharing even more information about the two upcoming titles.
In a press release sent to Final Weapon, SEGA confirms RGG Summit Fall 2023 will be held in September.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches on November 9 for $49.99. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are available now featuring the Legendary Dragon Pack with Daigo Dojima, Goro Majima, and Taiga Saejima.
Finally, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth releases in early 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
