SNK announced The King of Fighters XV DLC character Goenitz and the highly anticipated cross-play update launch on June 20. The wait will finally be over for cross-play support, and players may also look forward to some new content.
DLC character Goenitz is free alongside the cross-play update for The King of Fighters XV. SNK released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming DLC character to highlight his dangerous move-set. Moreover, SNK confirms that a new Boss Challenge featuring Goenitz will be available on June 20. Players that survive the hellish onslaught and defeat Goenitz will earn a special costume, a new stage, additional BGM, and other rewards.
More content is on the way for The King of Fighters XV after Goenitz’s release on June 20. Season 2 paid DLC character Najd will be available this summer, and two more DLC characters are planned for autumn and winter 2023 respectively. Further, a brand-new Fatal Fury / GAROU title is currently in development featuring playable fighters Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi. Fighting game fans may also look forward to The King of Fighters XIII Global Match for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The King of Fighters XIII Global Match is an enhanced version of the original KOF XIII fighting game with rollback netcode and improved online features. Before launch, players had the opportunity to play The King of Fighters XIII Global Match open beta test on PlayStation 4 from June 5 to 11. Open beta test players were able to experience the game’s rollback netcode before the full launch later this year.
Lastly, The King of Fighters XV is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
