Tonight, Nintendo released Xenoblade Chronicles 2 icons for Nintendo Switch Online members. This is Wave 3 of the Xenoblade Chronicles series icons, which are set to run through the end of June. Last year, Nintendo began a campaign that allowed NSO members to redeem platinum points for custom icons.
These icons come from various series, and generally, a new one rotates in each month. To celebrate the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed, Nintendo started this campaign with new icons from all three mainline Xenoblade Chronicles titles.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Icons Revealed for Nintendo Switch
Nintendo has provided a substantial amount of icons for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. All party members and their various forms are included, as well as all enemies and even characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country. Check out all of the new characters available now below.
This comes after the releases of Wave 1 and Wave 2 of icons, which featured Future Redeemed and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition characters. Wave 1 was initially released on May 25, which was one month since the release of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC. Wave 2 was available last week through today, containing Shulk, five Fiora icons, and all the other prominent Xenoblade Chronicles characters.
Xenoblade Chronicles Icons Wave 4 & Wave 5
Wave 4 and Wave 5 of this Nintendo Switch Online icon series are set for the next two weeks. Wave 4 contains chibi art from Xenoblade Chronicles 3, likely containing all of the heroes since we did not get their art with the initial release of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 icons.
Wave 5 teases both N and M, which might lead to Hero art of Nia and Melia, who were absent in the first wave. This also applies to Z, who is the main villain of XC3. We’ll have to wait and see, but this wave especially looks quite promising.
Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtracks
Earlier this year, releases of the Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtracks were revealed. This includes both a standard and limited edition release of XC3, as well as a standard edition release of XCDE. Finally, a Trinity Box set was revealed. This set contains 20 CDs and is home to all music from the entire mainline trilogy.
Wave 3 of this set will be available until Thursday, June 15. Enjoying the XC2 icons on Switch? Be sure to check out our review of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
