    INDIE Live Expo 2023 August Showcase Announced

    More indie game announcements to come this summer.

    Ryu’s Office announced that INDIE Live Expo returns with a surprise showcase in August 2023. The upcoming showcase will celebrate the summer season with updates on indie games releasing in Q3 2023 and the remainder of the year. In addition, Ryu’s Office shared some statistics about viewership for INDIE Live Expo 2023. 

    INDIE Live Expo 2023 August showcase will cap off the summer season with updates on upcoming indie games. Fans can expect indie world premieres and surprises from developers and publishers. These premieres include never-before-seen content from new and existing indie games. More details about the August showcase, including partners and participating publishers, will be revealed at a later date via the official website

    INDIE Live Expo 2023 showcased more than 300 games to 10.4 million viewers around the world. Additionally, over 84 million viewers have watched INDIE Live Expo since its inception in 2020. More than 2,000 indie games were part of INDIE Live Expo showcases since the inaugural event as well. The two-day showcase was the sixth consecutive INDIE Live Expo show by Ryu’s Office.

    During Indie Live Expo 2023, Needy Streamer Overload developer and publisher Why So Serious revealed new horror adventure game Boyhood’s End, which launches in August 2023. Meg’s Monster developer and Odencat revealed its upcoming project Dream Channel Zero, a “surreal adventure” title inspired by retro NES and SNES games. Further, Palworld developer Pocketpair revealed Never Grave: The Witch and The Curse, a new side-scrolling Metroidvania roguelike game coming later this year.

    Indie game publisher PLAYISM announced the release date of from Madness with Love, an otome visual novel coming to Steam on June 18. Moreover, Happinet is publishing a new Nintendo Switch version of artist adventure game Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist. Kodansha is also preparing the version 1.0 update for BOKURA, which is coming to Steam, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android on August 10th.
