Alongside the new Marathon reveal, Bungie announced Nathan Fillion returns as Cayde-6 in the upcoming Destiny 2: The Final Shape expansion. The legendary Hunter Vanguard leader appears in a brief new trailer featuring Ikora Rey, the current Warlock Vanguard leader.
Nathan Fillion reprises his role as Cayde-6 in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Ikora Rey wishes Cayde-6 was around to help during the Vanguard’s hardships following the Forsaken expansion. She fills him in on what has happened thus far, and Cayde-6 wishes he was there to experience what happened. Cayde-6 is finally back, and he came equipped with his Ace of Spades to fight an unknown threat. However, Ikora and Cayde-6 appears to be in a mysterious location.
Destiny 2 Showcase Set for August 2023
Bungie notes that the Light & Darkness saga of Destiny 2 will come to a close in The Final Shape expansion. First details about the new expansion will be revealed during the Destiny 2 Showcase on August 22 via Bungie’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. The developer will “reveal the details for The Final Shape and provide a look forward into the future of Destiny 2.” The showcase may tease what will come after the saga has concluded, but definitive details have not been revealed yet.

Lastly, Destiny 2 and the Lightfall expansion are available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
