Idea Factory’s Otomate brand confirmed release dates for two upcoming otome visual novels launching before the end of 2023. These visual novels are Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling and Wand of Fortune R2 FD: Epilogue For You.
Otomate confirms Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling launches on September 9 for Nintendo Switch in Japan. This otome title is a fan disc for the “goddess / marriage hunting love comedy” game Cupid Parasite. The story of Cupid Parasite: Sweet & Spicy Darling follows the good ending of the previous game. Japanese band The Biscats returns to perform the opening and ending theme songs.
Wand of Fortune R2 FD: Epilogue For You is scheduled for a September 14 launch in Japan for Nintendo Switch. An official website is now live for the upcoming Wand of Fortune otome visual novel as well. Otomate describes the title as an adventure visual novel that connects love and magic to the future, serving as a sequel to Wand of Fortune R2.

Additionally, Otomate opened pre-orders for Alice in the Country of Spades: Wonderful Black World, which launches on August 3 for Nintendo Switch. Premium Editions of the Alice in the Country of Spades: Wonderful Black World will be sold. This includes an 18,700 yen Otomate Sweet BOX Edition and 15,400 yen White & Black Edition.
The June 29 release date for 9 R.I.P was reconfirmed by Otomate. Moreover, Otomate published a YouTube playlist featuring eight character trailers for the new visual novel. The brand describes the title as “a slightly strange omnibus romance visual novel that unfolds in various ‘other worlds'”.
As previously discussed, Otomate sister brand Altergear is working on its fourth major otome visual novel. The studio began recruiting staff in February 2023. Scenario writer Makoto Fukami and director Asami Saitou are working on the new Altergear title. Lastly, the title’s name, story, and characters will be announced at a later date.
