Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate Logo Updated

An revised logo for the next mainline Dragon Quest title.

Square Enix updated its career recruitment website with a new logo for Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate. The website was likely updated sometime after January 23, which could mean that more news from Square Enix may arrive later this year.

    A Revised Logo

When compared to the original logo for Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate, the flames and logo text appears to be more vivid and realistic. Further, the new logo is likely the finalized version for the full release. The logo does not indicate an impending announcement of any kind, but we can certainly hope that Square Enix shares an update about the new game soon.

    Prior Updates and Teases

On November 25, 2021, European and U.K. trademarks for Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate were filed. May 27, 2023 will mark two years since the game was officially announced by series creator Yuji Horii and Square Enix. Dragon Quest III: HD-2D Remake is also in development, and Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai launches in fall 2023.

This past December, Yuji Horii stated that more news about Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is coming soon. Additionally, Horii reiterated that the development team is working hard on the remake and Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate. However, no new information has been shared since Horii made those comments late last year.

“We’re working hard on Dragon Quest XII and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake!” Horii said. “I can’t say much yet, but we might be able to deliver more news on DQ III soon. We’re grateful that people are putting big expectations on DQ III too.”

Lastly,  Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai launches in fall 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
