During Sakura-con 2023, publisher Yen Press announced the Bocchi the Rock! manga will receive an official English release. Fans in the west may purchase the manga in fall 2023, which is a tentative release window at this time.
Bocchi the Rock! is a four koma manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Aki Kamaji. The manga’s story follows Hitori Goto, a socially awkward girl that strives to become a rock musician and make new friends. She finally gets an opportunity to shine when Nijika Ijichi invites her to join the Kessoku Band. This slice of life manga quickly became popular in Japan and surpassed one million copies in circulation. Additionally, the manga received a second reprint and spawned an anime series (Thanks, Siliconera).
