Gemdrops announced rhythm game Kizuna AI: Touch the Beat! has been delayed to May 25 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR, and PC via Steam. The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 versions are unaffected since these versions are already available now to the public.
Gemdrops cites the need for further quality improvements as the main reason for Kizuna AI: Touch the Beat!’s delay. Originally, Kizuna AI: Touch the Beat! was planned for a April 27 release before being delayed to May 25. The official website has been updated to reflect the new release date, and a brief statement was shared.
“In order to improve the quality of the content of the Nintendo Switch / PS4 / Steam version, we would like to announce that the release date will be changed to May 25,” Gemdrops said. “We would like to ask for your understanding in this matter.”
Kizuna AI: Touch the Beat! first launched as a Meta Quest exclusive on October 12, 2020. This past February, Kizuna AI: Touch the Beat! released on PlayStation 5 alongside the launch of PlayStation VR 2.
