If you’re a horror game fan, chances are you are looking forward to playing Resident Evil 4 in the upcoming weeks. Ever since its memorable reveal, fans around the world have been patiently waiting to try what could be one of Capcom’s best titles yet. With the game fast approaching, preloads have begun, and the file size for Resident Evil 4 has been revealed.
The original Resident Evil 4 was released in 2005 and is available on basically every platform you can think of. A remake has been requested for years, and after the success of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, we are finally just about at the release of the reimagined classic. Resident Evil 4 File Size Revealed
The file size for Resident Evil 4 on Xbox is 67.18 GB. Multiple Xbox users have begun to preload the game, with each being met with a sizeable download size. This might come as a surprise to long-time Resident Evil fans, as the games generally have been around 30 GB or less throughout the past few years. This includes Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil Village.
At over 60 GB, this is more than double recent Resident Evil titles. For those only utilizing the internal storage on either the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, you might want to check and make sure you’re good on storage before preloading.
The only title that comes close is Resident Evil 7, however, that is considering the PlayStation 5 version with all downloadable content installed. With Resident Evil 4, Capcom seems to have prepared a grand adventure for players.
It is expected that PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 will be around this range, however, that file size has not yet been revealed. Once the game can be preloaded through PlayStation, we will know the specific file size. Regardless, expect a hefty title considering Xbox is usually close in file size. According to the PlayStation Store, you will be able to download your Resident Evil 4 pre-order on March 22, 2023.
