Square Enix announced a brand-new update for Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition is available now on all platforms. The update applies some quality of life improvements while addressing various bugs.
The new Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition update improves the overall frame rate, allowing the classic RPG to run at 60 frames-per-second in battles on all platforms. However, the final battle in the Nintendo Switch version (version 1.02) will run at 30 FPS only. This new update also brings changes to Pip’s growth system and other minor bug fixes.

Notice for Steam version: When using the hardware stated in the recommended specs for the Steam version, you can expect the game to run at an average of 60FPS (30FPS maximum outside of battle scenes.) However, due to the rendering system used in the game, it is possible that when using certain graphics cards, some scenes with particularly high load may not run at 60FPS. The cards we have observed this occurring with are in the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series.
