Kodansha, MAPPA, and the Attack on Titan Committee have announced that Part 3 of Attack on Titan Final Season, which will be known as The Final Edition, is set to begin airing on March 3, 2023. This final part of the monstrous Final Season will be split into two parts, as Director Hayashi and the team at MAPPA want to ensure the highest quality possible is brought with this season.
Initially, it was revealed that the third part of the anime would be broadcast in 2023 sometime. While the decision to split this third part might not sit well with some, it was the proper decision considering the scale of the episodes to come. Both Part 1 and 2 of The Final Season have been produced within a year, with each respectively airing in 2020-2021 and 2022.
Part 2 of Attack on Titan Final Season, The Final Edition is set to be released sometime in 2023. The exact date is still unknown, but considering Part 1 airs this Spring, we’d expect Part 2 to air in Fall or Winter. More updates on the exact scheduling of this should come after Part 1 concludes airing.
Attack on Titan is known as one of the most popular animes in the world, with hordes of content and collaborations. The first three seasons of the hit TV anime were produced by Wit Studio, with the Final Season (really being three separate seasons) being produced by MAPPA.
