Witch on the Holy Night PlayStation 4 Limited Edition Delayed to February 10, 2023

PlayStation 4 users will have to wait just a bit longer for the physical.

Aniplex has announced that the Limited Edition release of Witch on the Holy Night will be delayed to February 10, 2023. This does not affect the Nintendo Switch version, as that shipment was not delayed. While it is a disappointment that the physical copy of Witch on the Holy Night for PS4 won’t make it on time, the delay is luckily very short.

The message from Aniplex, straight from the official Witch on the Holy Night account, has been documented below.

To All WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT Fans,

As a result of the unprecedented disruptions caused by the winter storm, we regret to inform you all that the shipment of the special edition of WITCH ON THE HOLY NIGHT for PlayStation 4 will be delayed until February 10. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and are working hard to deliver this much-anticipated release as quickly as possible. Please check with your retailer’s website for the latest shipping update.

Witch on the Holy Night is the story of Aoko Aozaki, Alice Kuonji, and Soujuurou Shizuki. The game takes place in Misaki Town, during the late 1980s. This release is an HD remaster of the original game, which was released in 2012. It added full voice acting to each of the characters in the game.

Witch on the Holy Night was released digitally back in December. This visual novel is the first from Type-Moon and Kinoko Nasu to be translated officially into English. Our review of the title can be found here, where we stated Witch on the Holy Night was “visually stunning”. A movie adaptation from ufotable is planned to be released later this year.

Stay tuned to Final Weapon for the latest on Type-Moon!
