The recent round of 2022 year-end Japanese developer interviews include Idea Factory, the owner of Neptunia development studio Compile Heart. Idea Factory confirms new Neptunia developments, citing “further evolution” of the series in 2023.
When speaking to Famitsu for the year-end series of interviews, Idea Factory’s Hikaru Yasui reveals the team is working hard to give Neptunia fans an even “further evolved” game. Idea Factory was able to release Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters in Japan this year, but Yasui would like 2023 to be a year of “further evolution” for the series. New developments are expected in 2023 according to Yasui, so he hopes Neptunia fans look forward to them.
Yasui also talked to 4Gamer for the publications year-end round of interviews. He reiterates that new developments for the Neptunia series are in the works. The staff at Idea Factory and Compile Heart are working hard to deliver these in 2023. Once more, he hopes fans look forward to what’s to come in the new year.
The January 19, 2023 issue of Famitsu will feature a major announcement by Compile Heart, which could be Neptunia related. Compile Heart did not share any more details regarding the announcement, so fans have to wait until the start of 2023.
