Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights Ends Service on February 28, 2023

    A 13-month run comes to a close.

Square Enix announced mobile RPG Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights ends service on February 28, 2023 at 15:00 JST for Android and iOS.

All Mythril (in-game currency) sales have been discontinued effective immediately. However, remaining Mythril may be used before Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights service ends on February 28. Square Enix will issue refunds for any unused Mythril at a later date.

The development team was working hard to ensure satisfactory service to the game’s players. Ultimately, Square Enix determined that the company could no longer maintain the service players expect going forward. As a result, the game will end service early next year.

The mobile game’s final story chapter, first anniversary celebration, the Brass Cup, team raids, and more will be available before the end of service date. Additionally, Square Enix plans to release an offline version of the game at a later date. The offline version allows players too look back at characters and stories featured in the mobile game.

Square Enix plans to share more news about the game and the upcoming offline version in the near future. Until then, the company hopes fans continue to enjoy the mobile game until the very end.

Bravely Default: Brilliant Lights released on January 27, 2022 for Android and iOS in Japan.
