Nintendo and Intelligent Systems revealed new details about Fire Emblem Engage and two returning characters from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, Eirika and Ephraim.
Eirika and Ephraim are known as the Emblem of the Sacred (official English name pending) in Fire Emblem Engage. The sibling duo may be switched each other out in combat due to the unique nature of their Emblem Ring. The Sacred Stones siblings excel in any combat scenario due to their combined might and healing abilities.
Eirika’s Synchro Skill, Lunar Brace, allows her to deal more damage the higher an enemy’s defense stat is. When switching to Ephraim, players may use the Solar Brace Synchro Skill, which restores health with damage dealt. Eirika’s Engage Weapon, Rapier, is effective against calvary and armored units.
The Emblem’s Engage Skill is Sacred Twins, which activates Eirika and Ephraim’s Synchro Skills at the same time to become Solar-Lunar Brace. As a result, players gain benefits granted by both Synchro Skills at once. The duo’s Engage Technique is Twin Strike, a powerful attack with swords and lances to deal major damage to Aberrant enemies. Further, the technique has a greater chance of causing breaks on enemies. If the Engage Technique is used by a calvary unit, the total attack damage is increased.
