Transformers: Reactivate Announced at The Game Awards

A close beta for the game will be held sometime next year

A new Transformers game was just announced at The Game Awards, Transformers: Reactivate. The trailer revealed what looked to be an apocalyptic, world-ending catastrophe with an armada of alien fleets and troops destroying a city as desperate people flee for their lives and fight back.

Moreover, the game will have players “explore” a fresh, new story within the Transformers Universe. In a Press Release that explains the project in detail, Splash Damage claims that the game “will offer players a chance to immerse themselves in the TRANSFORMERS universe like never before.” and will have the option to play as some of their favorite characters from the franchise as they fight The Legion.

No release date was announced, but Splash Damage plans to hold a closed beta for Transformers: Reactivate sometime around 2023.
