The first trailer for Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty was a giant dose of mystery, and months have passed and there are still many questions as to what the DLC is about. But this year’s Game Awards brought us a brand-new trailer for the upcoming, and only, DLC expected for CD Projekt Red’s adaptation of the classic Cyberpunk roleplaying game.
We know a little bit more about what awaits players as they team up once again with Johnny Silverhand, and in a shocking turn of events, they will enlist the help of a new character: Solomon Reed, a mysterious government agent played none other by Idris Elba.
The upcoming DLC will see the return of V and Keanu Reeves reprising his role as Johnny Silverhand as the pair are coerced into undertaking a dangerous mission on behalf of the New United States of America.
Phantom Liberty, the upcoming DLC for Cyberpunk 2077, was teased back in September with a short, yet mysterious trailer that left many fans of the game with questions about the fictional world’s political status. There are still questions to be answered, and no theory could’ve predicted the appearance of Idris Elba.
Although Cyberpunk 2077 is in a better position than where it was on its launch day, it took a long time for fans to get anything besides a plethora of patches to the many leaking holes, glitches, and bugs that marred the game.
There’s a ton of stuff to unpack in that new trailer, but few could’ve guessed another acclaimed actor would jump into Night City. More info about this new DLC will be revealed soon on their main website and social media, as well as press releases and trailers.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released in 2023 and be available to play on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X.
