Type-Moon and production studio A-1 Pictures announced the Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn anime special has been delayed from the original December 31 premiere date.
Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn has been delayed indefinitely, which means a new premiere date is not set in stone at this time. The delay was caused by issues involving production, but a specific reason for the delay was not stated by either Type-Moon or A-1 Pictures. However, the companies will share more news with fans once plans regarding the premiere are ready.
Fate/strange Fake was originally an April Fools joke in 2008 by author Ryōgo Narita. In 2015, the work became a fully-fledged light novel series. The series follows the events of the False Holy Grail War, an imperfect copy of the Third Holy Grail War. The False Holy Grail War features various Masters and Servants that are “true” or “false” (Thanks, Noisy Pixel).
Type-Moon’s latest visual novel, Witch on the Holy Night, is available now for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 worldwide. Fighting game fans may enjoy Witch on the Holy Night characters in Melty Blood: Type Lumina. Melty Blood: Type Lumina is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Fate/Extra Record is currently in development at Type-Moon Studio BB as a remake of the original Fate/Extra. Lastly, platforms and a release date for Fate/Extra Record were not announced.
