Fire Emblem Engage Details ‘Emblem of Echoes’ Celica

Grants the powerful Warp Ragnarok magic attack.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems revealed new details about Fire Emblem Engage and the “Emblem of Echoes,” Celica.

Celica is a returning character from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and players may equip her Emblem Ring in Fire Emblem Engage. Like Sigurd’s Emblem Ring, units that equip Celica’s Emblem Ring gain additional skills and bonuses. In Celica’s case, she grants Warp Ragnarok and powerful Magic attacks that are effective against Corrupted enemies. Corrupted enemies are monsters that mark the return of the Fell Dragon.

Here’s an overview of the Emblem of Echoes’ skills via Perfectly Nintendo:

    • Sync Skill: Holy Stance. When using that skill, part of the damage dealt to Corrupted enemies is “returned” to the unit (= healing).
    • Engage Weapon: Seraphim. Unleashes a powerful attack that deals extra damage to Corrupted enemies.
    • Engage Skill: Echo. Splits magic attacks in two, allowing you to hit two different enemies at once. While damage is indeed halved, this is pretty handy as it allows you to dispatch two enemies with few HP left in a single turn!
    • Engage Attack: Warp Ragnarok. Allows you to teleport to a distant enemy (that you normally couldn’t reach during your turn) and unleash a powerful magic attack. Warp Ragnarok allows you to travel great distances while ignoring terrain effects, making it extra useful when you need to go rescue a Unit in trouble! Also, when a Unit with the “Flier” Fighting Style equips Celica’s Ring, they can teleport 5 spaces further than other Units when using Warp Ragnarok!

To round out the latest news about Fire Emblem Engage, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems detailed Magic and Flying units. Magic units may ignore terrain effects when attacking enemies with magic. Flying units have great mobility and can ignore movement restrictions, but they are extremely weak to bow users.

Lastly, Fire Emblem Engage launches January 20, 2023 for Nintendo Switch.
