SEGA announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis has begun its Overlord collaboration event with new anime-themed cosmetics.
The all-new AC Scratch Ticket: Overlord Style is available now in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. As previously reported, players may obtain Overlord-themed cosmetics by drawing from the new AC Scratch Ticket. AC Scratch Ticket items include Ainz and Albedo avatar items, voice tickets, emotes, weapon camo, stamps, and more to transform players into characters from Overlord.
Produced by Madhouse and directed by Naoyuki Itō, Overlord is based on the Japanese novel of the same name written by Kugane Maruyama, which follows Ainz, a veteran player who refuses to log out of a popular DMMO-RPG. Over 11 million copies of the Overlord manga are in circulation, and the anime’s fourth season began this past July. Overlord: The Holy Kingdom, the Overlord series’ first completely new movie adaptation, premieres in summer 2023.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will receive another major update this December. The year-end “The Hellfire Vanguard” update introduces Stia, a new volcanic region.
