Multiple Free Updates Coming To Sonic Frontiers

Sonic Frontiers just recently released a Monster Hunter pack in collaboration with Capcom, and with it brings the news of more content coming soon. SEGA stated that Sonic Frontiers is set to receive “several free content expansions into next year, beginning with the Monster Hunter Collaboration Pack”. This statement was issued alongside Capcom, which could perhaps mean that more Capcom collaborations are headed our way. More Sonic Frontiers updates is only a good thing, as the game could absolutely use more content.

As for what collaborations we could possible see, Devil May Cry or Megaman seems possible for one of the Sonic Frontiers updates. Additonally, for SEGA properties a Persona or Yakuza collaboration would be a neat addition to the game as well. There are many possibilities, not even just limited to SEGA and Capcom.

In our review, we stated that “Sonic Frontiers has some noticeable issues, but it still manages to be the best 3D Sonic entry in years despite this. Players can expect a fresh new take on the franchise featuring plenty of gameplay variety and a somewhat intriguing story”. Frontiers managed to bring a breath of fresh air to a series that desperately needed it, especially after 2017’s Sonic Forces.

Sonic fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year and beyond, especially with these updates. Beyond that, the Sonic Movie 3 still lies on the horizon, launching in 2024. Sonic Prime is also set to release on Netflix next month. Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest on the blue hedgehog.
