White Owls have filed trademarks for Hotel Barcelona and Death Game Hotel in Japan and internationally this past October.
The Japanese trademarks for Hotel Barcelona and Death Game Hotel were filed on March 25. On October 27, international trademarks for Hotel Barcelona and Death Game Hotel were filed in English.
Hotel Barcelona is a brand-new horror game by White Owls and Grasshopper Manufacture. White Owls’ Hidetaka “Swery 65” Suehiro and Grasshopper Manufacture’s Goichi “Suda51” Suda are leading the project. Death Game Hotel appears to be an entirely different game or an alternate title.
Swery and Suda announced Hotel Barcelona during a live stream in October of 2019. The announcement was on the spot for Suda, who originally thought of the Hotel Barcelona just 30 minutes before the live stream. The live stream allowed Swery and Suda to formulate ideas for the new game.
