BlazBlue creator Toshimichi Mori departs from Arc System Works

Nearly 18 years served at Arc System Works.

BlazBlue creator and Arc System Works producer Toshimichi Mori announced his departure from the company on September 24, 2022.

Toshimichi Mori joined Arc System Works in 2003 after being recommended by Guilty Gear series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari. Mori is renowned for creating the BlazBlue franchise in 2008 followed by consecutive releases over the span of a decade. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle would be Mori’s final console game with the role of producer and general director.

Although Mori has left Arc System Works, he plans to remain in the gaming industry. In addition, Mori wants to develop and release new games for his fans in the future.
