Following the Splatoon 3 Direct, Nintendo’s Splat Research Lab detailed the all-new Splatana weapons featured in the game.
Splatana weapons in Splatoon 3 are inspired by the Japanese katana. The swordlike weapon unleashes horizontal slashs of ink and may charge up a powerful vertical slash. Splatanas allow for devastating combo potential in matches.
The first Splatana weapon introduced is the Splatana Wiper, a thin, beginner-friendly weapon with a long sponge. The Splatana Wiper is known for its incredible mobility. Skilled players may opt for the Splatana Stamper, a heavy weapon with powerful charged slashes.

The Splatoon 3 Splatfest demo releases August 27. Lastly, Splatoon 3 releases on September 9 for Nintendo Switch.
