June 19 marks the 30th anniversary of Treasure, a Japanese development studio known for action games, shoot ’em ups, and platformers. To celebrate the anniversary, Treasure confirmed development of a brand-new game through the official Twitter account.
Treasure confirmed that active development is underway for a certain game that “received many requests.” An announcement will be made at some point and Treasure looks forward to the continued support of fans.
Treasure did not elaborate on which title it could be, but there’s already rampant speculation. Ranging from Mischief Makers to Sin and Punishment, there are many titles that Treasure could potentially refer to.
