Bright Memory: Infinite releases in 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch

Playism and FYQD-Studio announced Bright Memory: Infinite is coming to PS5 and Switch later this year. The two new versions join the previously announced Xbox Series X|S version.

According to Zeng from the FYQD-Studio development team, more time was needed to develop Bright Memory: Infinite. In that time, the additional PS5 and Switch versions were developed and optimized.

TOKYO – June 11, 2022 –  Bright Memory: Infinite, the high-octane, visually stunning first-person shooter made by indie developer FYQD Studio and published by PLAYISM, will shoot-and-slash onto PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch alongside the previously announced Xbox Series X|S version, as announced today at the Future Games Show.

Both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 versions support raytracing with reflections at 60 FPS, with a 120 FPS performance mode also available for those seeking the smoothest combat experience. The PlayStation 5 version also utilizes DualSense adaptive trigger features, available only in this edition.

On the other end of the power spectrum, the Nintendo Switch version, which runs natively on hardware and not through the cloud, features multi-sampling of TAA anti-aliasing for a stylish presentation on the go, along with gyroscopic aiming support. Each console edition will include all the cosmetic DLC from the PC version with the base game.

Initially released in 2021 on PC, Bright Memory: Infinite combines the skillful gunplay of first-person shooters with the intense swordplay of hack-and-slash action games. Combine shots, slashes, acrobatic maneuvers, and psychic powers to combo through futuristic soldiers and demons from ancient Chinese mythology. Unlock new abilities through a deep, branching skill tree revealing new powers and upgrades.

Uncover the mystery behind why a black hole opened up during Chinese New Year celebrations as the special agent Shelia. Armed to the teeth, Shelia squares off with forces seeking to harness this phenomenon and the beasts emerging from it. Lay bare the unfathomable truth about two intertwining worlds and timelines as well as the mysterious masked man behind it all.

“I know people had to wait a bit longer, but my partners and I decided we needed to take as much time as possible to make Bright Memory: Infinite shine on consoles,” said Zeng, indie game developer, FYQD Studio. “We used that extra time to optimize the game on each device. I was confident about getting Bright Memory: Infinite on consoles, but playing the game on those platforms still feels like a miracle.”

Bright Memory: Infinite releases later this year for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, featuring support for English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese voice and text, and Traditional Chinese, Latin American Spanish, German, French, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, and Korean language text.
