    PlayStation has 2 unannounced live service games releasing by March 31st, 2023

    During Sony’s Business Segment Briefings for 2022, SIE CEO Jim Ryan confirmed that 2 unannounced live service games from PlayStation will release by March 31st, 2023. The end of March next year also marks the end of Sony’s current fiscal year.

    In addition, Jim Ryan states that Sony plans to release 12 live service PlayStation games by fiscal year 2025. 3 live service games will be released in fiscal year 2023, followed by 4 more in FY 2024 and 2 in FY 2025. Some of these new games are planned for PC.

    One of PlayStation’s current live service games is MLB The Show 22. MLB The Show 22 is one of the first major multiplatform releases by PlayStation across their own platforms, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. More first-party games are coming to PC soon including Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

    During the same briefing, Sony confirmed that over 20 games are being prepared for the launch of PlayStation VR 2. These games include first-party PlayStation titles and third-party titles. One of the launch games is Horizon: Call of the Mountain by Guerrilla Games and Firesprite Games.

    One of PlayStation’s current live service games is Bungie’s Destiny 2. Bungie lends their live service expertise once the acquistion deal closes. Destiny 2: Season of the Haunted is live until August 23rd and features the return of the massive Leviathan ship.
