US NPD results of the month of April 2022 are here, revealing that PS5 led in hardware dollar sales. Switch was the best selling console of the month in unit sales and right behind the PS5 in dollar sales. Xbox Series X|S was the second best selling platform in unit sales for the month.
Additionally, the Switch outsold PS4 lifetime sales in the US. Nintendo’s hybrid platform is now the 4th best selling console of all time in the US. The Switch is right behind the PS2, Wii and Xbox 360. Switch continues as the best selling console year-to-date for 2022 with one of the longest streaks in US gaming history.
