    Final Fantasy XVI is nearly complete, being polished according to Naoki Yoshida

    During the NieR Re[in]carnation x Final Fantasy XIV Special Program, Naoki Yoshida shared new information regarding Final Fantasy XVI! According to the producer, Final Fantasy XVI is “pretty much complete” and a new trailer is coming soon. The trailer itself was delayed due to several factors, which Yoshida did not specify. The team is spending a good amount of time polishing and debugging the game with development almost finished up.

    Yoshida reiterates that the game is in the final stage of development. The producer stated that the game would be shown off again once its close to actually releasing. Previously, Yoshida confirmed more news would arrive in Spring 2022, which seems to be on track even with internal delays affected planned news releases. The time is drawing near for a new trailer, which means the release date could be announced soon as well. Summer could another possible time frame to reveal new information with big events such as Summer Game Fest or a potential Summer edition of State of Play.

    Final Fantasy XVI is coming soon to PS5 as a console exclusive game. A PC version is expected to release. In the meantime, stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and updates!
