PSO 2: New Genesis 1st Anniversary update releases May 11th

SEGA announced the 1st Anniversary update for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis! PSO 2: New Genesis celebrates one year since its worldwide release with new in-game events, weapons, rewards and much more. The update releases in two parts with part 1 releasing on May 11th and part 2 releasing on May 25th.

PSO 2: New Genesis 1st Anniversary Part 1 brings festive flair to the world of Halpha with fireworks, decorations, new flora and Anni Rappies. Xitre returns as the event task manager with an exchange shop. Players earn seasonal points by completing limited time tasks and defeating seasonal enemies. These seasonal points are used at the exchange shop for weapons, items, stamps and much more.

Like previous seasonal events, there will be Mischief Symbols to collect for a reward. A new trial will be introduced to all sectors with the new Captan enemy. In addition, the new limited time quest “Drill: Dazzling Chaos Suppression Op” goes live with new 5* Dark Elemental Weapons to earn. Using the Dark Exploit augment makes these weapons even more potent.

On May 18th, NGS Season 8 goes live with a new Mission Pass and more rewards to chase. One week later on May 25th, the festivities continue with PSO 2: New Genesis 1st Anniversary Part 2. The second part of the update includes new tasks, items and the urgent quest “Mining Rig Defense: Retem”. Lastly, the 1st Anniversary Seasonal World Trial begins on June 1st.

Screenshots and information about upcoming AC Scratch Tickets are available at the official website. The new Frozen Resolution update arrives later in June with the new tundra region, Kvaris. The new update features story chapter 3, new player actions, 6* weapons, new enemies and much more. Catch up on the latest edition of NGS Headline below:
