Genshin Impact Version 2.7 has been delayed

HoYoverse announced that Genshin Impact version 2.7 has been officially delayed. Speculation was rampant following the temporary delay of the upcoming special program earlier in the day. The official Facebook page stated the following:

“The Special Program for Version 2.7 has been Temporarily Delayed, we apologize for the issue.”

16 hours later, HoYoverse would confirm Genshin Impact version 2.7 was unfortunately delayed. With ongoing lockdown restrictions in China due to the coronavirus pandemic, its a very likely factor behind the delay affecting development. Here’s what HoYoverse had to say:

    Dear Travelers,

Due to project progress, the Version 2.7 update will be postponed.

For detailed information on the date of the new update, content adjustment plan, and compensation, please stay tuned for upcoming announcements.

We will provide the corresponding information to Travelers as soon as possible.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your support and understanding along this journey.

We hope the team at HoYoverse stays safe as fans await a new release date for the update. Genshin Impact is available now across PS4, PS5, iOS, Android and PC worldwide.
