RWBY Ice Queendom to air weekly, Vol. 1 & 2 recapped in first two episodes

Rooster Teeth’s Geoff Ramsey shared new details regarding the upcoming RWBY Ice Queendom anime! According to Ramsey, the anime is not an alternate universe or reboot for RWBY. Instead, it is considered ‘canon adjacent’ and faithful to the original. RWBY Vol. 1 & 2 will be recapped in the first two episodes before going into a “bold new adventure” according to Ramsey. The anime features new characters, Grimm, settings and surprises to come. As announced previously, RWBY Ice Queendom premieres this summer. It will air weekly across Japan, Rooster Teeth and Crunchyroll on the same day. The latter services feature English dubbed and subbed options. Each episode follows traditional anime runtimes between 22 and 24 minutes long. Lastly, check out the debut trailer for RWBY Ice Queendom here.
