Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire for Switch has been cancelled

According to Versus Evil community lead Dave Hulegaard, the Switch version of Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire has been cancelled (Thanks, r/NintendoSwitch). News about the game had been scarce for a long time and it seems like development reached a standstill. However, details about the cancellation were not given. Here’s what Hulegaard had to say:

“Hey there! Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we have decided not to move forward with Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire for the Nintendo Switch.”

Hopefully, fans of the Pillars of Eternity series receive similar games from the genre on the popular hybrid platform soon. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest gaming news and updates!
