In an unfortunate update for EVO 2022, EVO announced that Super Smash Bros games will not make a return at this year’s event. According to EVO, Nintendo chose not to support the event. Additionally, EVO will hold their announcement show on March 8th at 5 PM PST featuring this year’s lineup of participating fighting games. Fans can tune into the event over on Twitch. Hopefully, Nintendo decides to support EVO with Super Smash Bros tournaments during EVO 2023. Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Melee are popular and important games that fans want to see on the grand stage.
