A new Ys game is in development, will innovate the series according to Falcom’s Toshihiro Kondo

    In a new interview over at Bonfire Newsroom, Falcom President Toshihiro Kondo confirmed that a new Ys game is in development! It will not release in 2022 but Falcom plans to innovate the series. Kondo specifically mentions that Ys Seven through 9 have maintained a similar system, but the new Ys game will be “completely different” and incorporate new ideas. Fans can expect some big changes in Adol Christin’s next journey. Falcom’s next new release is The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN- for PS4 and PS5 later into 2022.
